Our volunteer program in Vietnam is flexible for any one. We have several different projects available within our program. Having an opportunity to volunteer at the different centers/orphanages is a unique and worthwhile experience and memories will remain with you forever.
Degenhardt Foundation/Aid for Kids is committed to providing schooling and training to orphans and underprivileged children and their families in Vietnam, as well as providing both medical and dental aid. We have provided free dental care for over 15,000 underprivileged children throughout Vietnam.

Since 1999 Joy Degenhardt has been arranging Dental Outreach Programs to provide dental care to children in orphanages, street children centers and in high poverty stricken areas where dental hygiene is almost unknown. Steve Henley was the first dentist to work with Joy and together they laid the foundations to an ever improving Dental Volunteer Program. Every year more and more dentists and senior dental students are enquiring into and joining us on these Dental Outreach programs. The areas worked in are Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre, An Giang and Danang. Each volunteer typically works in just one area, but occasionally two and spends a period of one to two weeks with us.

Vietnamese adoptees from around the world are invited to return to their homeland for a unique cultural experience. Our attendees will participate in becoming ambassadors for adoption in the exciting upcoming event, “Ambassadors for Vietnam 2013 – Ambassador for disadvantage children”. Each attendee will take away from this 14 days 13 nights experience, a deeper understanding and appreciation for the history, culture, food and arts of their birth country, Vietnam. Every attendee will become an ambassador who will be able to proudly promote their Vietnamese heritage to the world!
February 2012, a medical/dental mission team from Medical Outreach of America will be providing free dental and medical to the people on Cu Lao Cham Island, off of Hoi An.
